On June 2, 2025, in Astana, representatives of QazaqGeography met with the delegation from the UAE Embassy in Kazakhstan. The meeting was attended by Adlet Tkenov, Deputy Chairman of the Board, and Bibigul Izbair-Toilybayeva, Director of the Department for Project and International Activities. Representing the UAE Embassy was Ms. Aisha Al-Mismari, Head of the Department for Policy, Media, and Public Diplomacy.
The discussions were constructive and fruitful, highlighting the mutual interest in developing international projects in ecology, science, and culture.
Focus on Environmental Protection and Cultural Heritage
During the meeting, QazaqGeography presented its key areas of work, including:
- Advancing geographical science and organizing scientific and educational expeditions;
- Supporting ecological tourism and conserving biodiversity;
- Implementing ethnographic projects to explore Kazakhstan’s cultural heritage.
Ms. Aisha Al-Mismari showed particular interest in projects dedicated to protecting rare and endangered animal species, especially the saker falcon and snow leopard. The discussion also covered the prospects for sustainable ecological tourism in national parks and the preservation of historical and cultural heritage.
Prospects for Future Cooperation
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties expressed their readiness to strengthen collaboration and continue working together on initiatives aimed at sustainable development, environmental conservation, and international cooperation.
QazaqGeography will continue to expand its projects in ecology and cultural heritage preservation, fostering international dialogue and knowledge exchange.
