Experts discussed the development of ecotourism in Astana

The first meeting of the QG Discussion Club project was held in the Republican Public Association “QazaqGeography”.
The theme of the first meeting was “The Philosophy of Ecotourism”. The invited experts, including the representative of JSC "NC "Kazakhtourism" - the director of the Department of Tourism Products Development, Marzhan Traispayeva, travel-blogger and presenter of the project "Big Country" - Zhuldyz Rakhmet, eco-blogger and public figure Bazarbek Kamysbayev, traveler and PR-specialist Yernar Seitakhmet, shared their views on the development of ecotourism in Kazakhstan.
According to the participants, tourism in any area begins with infrastructure. It is important to create the basic conditions for tourists not to litter the protected natural areas and be able to find a place to rest, whether it is an alcove or a guest house.
The experts also noted that eco-tourism can help the development of rural areas and as a consequence increase the welfare of local residents. For example, tourists are always interested in getting acquainted with local traditions and cuisine, so residents of nearby areas can organize guest houses or mini-hotels, as well as catering facilities.
In turn, the manager of "QazaqGeography" Madina Kinayatova shared her experience in the development of eco-tourism, including the work with the population.
QG Discussion Club - is an informal offline platform, which aims to educate the public in the field of environmental tourism, culture, care about the environment, green thinking, the formation of a "green" community.

"We want as many locals as possible to immerse themselves in the world of domestic tourism, began to learn the natural and historical and cultural features of their country. However, before we start traveling, we need to understand what eco-tourism is and what each of us can do to develop it," said Madina Kinayatova.
