«The Fate and Legacy of Chokan Valikhanov» book’s presentation at the Omsk Cadet Military Corps

Yermekbay Zharas Akishevich, the author of the book «The Fate and Legacy of Chokan Valikhanov» and a member of QazaqGeography, presented his book. The event, organized by Reserve Major Makhabbat Gabdulgapparovich Kopturov, took place at the Omsk Cadet Military Corps of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. During the event, cadets learned about the great Chokan Valikhanov. By the end of the evening, the author donated books to the corps’s library. It is worth noting that in 2025, the Omsk Regional Public Organization «Center for Russian-Kazakh Friendship named after Chokan Valikhanov» plans to hold an international scientific conference in honor of the 190th anniversary of Chokan Valikhanov’s birth.

It is important to emphasize that even many years after Chokan Valikhanov’s passing, his legacy remains alive. All participants in the event were deeply inspired and pleased that there are individuals who pay attention to preserving and passing on this valuable heritage to future generations. When such passionate guardians of our history remain, the spirit of Chokan Valikhanov always stays alive.
