Founded in 2020 by Olzhabay Ismailov, an honored geologist of Kazakhstan, academician, and active member of QazaqGeography, this museum has quickly become a must-visit center for schoolchildren, students, and anyone curious about the treasures beneath the Earth’s surface.
The collection boasts over 750 rare exhibits, including native gold, copper, iron, as well as precious minerals and stones like amethyst, emerald, topaz, tanzanite, charoite, nepheline, and even petrified wood! Each specimen tells its own story and opens the door to the fascinating world of geology and nature.
The museum’s exhibition covers not only Kazakhstan but also features minerals from Russia, Europe, Africa, South America, and Australia.
QazaqGeography highly recommends visiting this museum — an exciting journey through the world of minerals that will inspire a new generation of explorers to make their own discoveries!
