A new visitor center opens in Altyn Emel National Park

On June 22 in the national park "Altyn-Emel" a new visitor center will be opened which will promote the culture of ecological tourism in this unique place, reports Tengritravel.kz.
In the visitor center with the same name Altynemel, tourists will receive information about the national park, its flora and fauna, geological and cultural-historical attractions, walking paths and rules of conduct and safety.
On the territory of the Visitor Center guests will be able to purchase a souvenir collection dedicated to the "Altyn-Emel" National Park and other national parks. In addition, an ethnic cafe Tary will open its doors to guests of the Visitors Center.
Tourists will also have access to a viewing platform with panoramic view and stationary binoculars, and gazebos, ramps for camping, waterless toilets and information boards are installed in key locations throughout the national park. By the way, restrooms throughout the park are equipped for guests with advanced needs.
Visitors to the Visitor Center can order guided tours to the complex of Sak tombs Besshatyr, the gorges Terekty - to the ancient petroglyphs Tanbali Tas - and Taygak, where there are preserved Buddhist inscriptions.
Guests will be able to rent a bicycle and go on a bike ride to the coast of Kapchagai and the nearby mountains of Sholak, and from the observation tower of the visitor center you can observe the life of wild animals, including the red-book kulan, gazelles, golden eagles and others.
Another highlight at the Altynemel Visitor Center will be an exhibition of "Stones and Stars" by the famous Kazakh artist Sanzhar Zhubanov.
For information: the Kazakhstani company Qazaq National Parks (QNP) is developing ecotourism in the national parks of Kazakhstan through its own network of visit centers with the assistance of QazaqGeography.
The Altynemel Visitor Center is the western gateway to Altyn-Emel National Park, a new QNP project, which complements the previously opened Ayusai and Turgensai Visitor Centers in Ile-Alatau National Park and Charyn in Charyn National Park.
The project priorities include the creation of recreational infrastructure, including visitor centers, trail development, convenient navigation, viewing platforms, gazebos, benches, and toilets.
The general partner of the project is Kaspi.kz.
